  1. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.9 improves progress reporting by
  2. indicating the type of operation (Read, Write or Format).

  4. It significantly improves its ability to create sets of diskettes
  5. based on user defined control files.

  9. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.8 adds the ability to automatically
  10. increment volume labels when labelling, formatting and writing
  11. diskettes.  Volume labels can be serialized when duplicating saved
  12. diskette images.

  16. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.7 adds a verification option to the
  17. Group Duplicate function.

  19. The Boot Through code has been modified to handle SCSI devices.
  20. Diskettes formatted with SAB Diskette Utility will load the system
  21. from the hard drive even if they are in the A: drive during system
  22. startup.

  26. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.6 adds the ability to copy files
  27. to a saved diskette image.  It also adds the ablility to find out
  28. how much space is available on the current diskette image.

  30. An option has been added to the Group Duplicate function to tell
  31. the system to continue to duplicate sets of diskettes until the
  32. user tells it to stop.

  34. A small fonts option has been added to the SETUP screen.  This
  35. will cause the use of the small system font in dialog boxes.

  40. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.5 adds the ability to copy/delete
  41. files from a saved diskette image.

  45. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.4 adds a setup routine to install
  46. the required files and setup a Program Manager Group.

  48. The user interface has been substantially improved.  Every dialog
  49. has a status/information bar that is mouse postition sensitive.

  51. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.4 has been approved by the
  52. Association of Shareware Professionals (see the SHAREW.TXT file for

  57. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.3 adds optional support for Double
  58. Space.  System diskettes may be made Double Space aware.  This means
  59. that if you have Double Space compressed drives and you boot from a
  60. Double Space aware diskette you will be able to access the
  61. information on the compressed drives.

  63. Diskette image conversion is now available.  You can read a diskette
  64. into memory and then convert to any format (360KB, 720KB, 1200KB,
  65. 1440KB, 2880KB) that has sufficient space for the data.  The
  66. conversion preserves the boot sector and any reserved sectors.

  68. Diskette browse command that shows the volume label, date and
  69. statistics for a diskette.

  71. Open command displays browse information for diskette file images.
  72. It also supports the truncate option which tells the system to only
  73. read in allocated cylinders.

  75. The performance of the SaveAs (saving a floppy diskette image to the
  76. hard drive) function has been improved.  Support for the truncate option
  77. (which tells the system to only save allocated cylinders) has been
  78. added as well.

  84. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.2 adds support for deletion of
  85. groups of diskette images.  The user can select a group file
  86. and delete it and the associated diskette images after at
  87. least one set of diskettes has been made from the images.

  89. Support for specifying a group control file on the command line
  90. has been added.  This means that a program item can be added to
  91. a group that when pressed will automatically copy a set of diskette
  92. images to diskettes giving the user instructions on the number
  93. and type of diskettes needed and how to label each one.  The syntax
  94. for doing this is:
  95.           SABDU.EXE /@[drive:][path]filename.SDG
  96. The diskette images to be copied must be in the directory defined
  97. by drive:path.

  99. Statistics commands have been added to allow the user to display
  100. the number of functions performed since the system was installed,
  101. since the session started or since the last reset of the session
  102. statistics.

  104. Control over the interval between beeps when using the sound option
  105. has been added.

  109. SAB Diskette Utility Version 2.1 adds support for creation of
  110. groups of diskette images.  The user may create a control file
  111. that includes a description of the set of diskettes, general
  112. instructions, diskette image file names, and instructions to
  113. be displayed after each diskette image is copied to a diskette.

  115. This means that it is possible to set up a control file for an
  116. application and have the user prompted for each diskette to be
  117. inserted and instructed as to how to label each diskette.
